Budapest
Chemical Works (or BCW) is the oldest chemical company in Hungary and
is located in Budapest. The Company was founded in 1876. Since then
there have been numerous organizational changes. In 1962 there was a
merger of the firms Hungária Vegyiművek (Hungária Chemical Works) and
Budapesti Kénsavgyár (Sulphuric Acid Factory Budapest) to form what is
known as BCW. Since 1992 the factory has been a company limited by
shares.
We started an environmental disposal
project on 19. August for the draw-off and cleaning of contaminated
ground water at Illatos út Premises supported by the EU and the
Hungarian Governement.
